[Sonic] The Last Frontier: Ch. 10Sandy's outburst was more than enough to get the two dozen innocent bystanders in the foyer stopped in their tracks and looking right at us. I could feel the weight of their judgmental glances. The cops finished putting the cuffs on my wrists, and we were unceremoniously paraded out the door, down the front steps, and up the street. The entire time, Sandy continued to struggle against her handcuffs.[Sonic] The Last Frontier: Ch. 10 by mjponso
"Please, ya gotta let us go. Nobody got hurt. It's all a big misunderstandin'! Tell 'em, Sonic!"
Although she was right, I knew it'd be foolish to say something out loud that might be used against us at some later point. I responded "Just keep quiet for now. We'll get this sorted out," in a way that I hoped didn't sound critical.
I wasn't sure what to make of her expression, but thankfully, she heeded my warning, as we walked a total of four blocks from the capitol to a two-story red-brick building. I had guessed it was a police station
[Zootopia] Nick and Judy's First StakeoutThe following was originally published as a journal entry on December 11, 2016, due to DeviantART's restrictions of using chat icons in text-based gallery submissions. In the interest of preserving the upload so it isn't overwritten by the next journal entry, I am transferring it to the gallery, by posting the entire script in the comments field, and posting the Author's Comments here in this text box. Everything below this line is taken from the original Author's Comments.[Zootopia] Nick and Judy's First Stakeout by mjponso
I first got the idea for writing this more than a week ago, or at least, the core premise of Nick and Judy being on a stakeout for the first time. It was only when I decided to write it down that I fleshed out a bit of its details, particularly in the beginning to establish context. I tried staying as close to their personalities as I believe they would be.
I am so thankful for DA's "Community Emoticons" feature, and the fact that there are so many chat icons of Nick and Judy to choose
I have my favorites categorized. In one category, I put all the pictures from other artists that I've helped work on (usually by coloring). In another, I put pictures from artists that were created for me.
EDIT -- I should probably rephrase that last comment. Since writing this description, I've become a bit less...uptight about how I define a favorite. I'll add a picture to my favorites if it's something I believe is worth seeing again.
Though I might be a mechanical engineer by profession, creative work has long been a hobby of mine. I'm not one to let a good idea go to waste, no matter what it is or where it might come from, which is why my creative work spans everything from writing to hand drawing to digital art and 3D modeling.
