Description
It'll be a while before I'm able to find time to upload a new chapter of The Last Frontier, so in the meantime, enjoy these two new photographs I took over the weekend.
This picture is of the "Splinter" log-flume ride at Dixie Landing Amusement Park / Blue Bayou Water Park in Baton Rouge, LA. (I and the rest of my family had learned of this park about a month ago, and since they were offering a promotion allowing two days of admission to both parks for the price of one, it was worth making a special trip to check out.) On the second day after we'd all had enough, I walked around the establishment, taking pictures of all the rides and attractions. I was initially going to just take a picture of this and move on, but I decided to wait until I could catch one of the logs coming down the hill. The picture snapped at the bottom of the hill, right as the log was kicking up a big splash, and thankfully this camera handles motion shots well enough for everything to come out fairly clearly.

Wow, it really did capture this shot extremely clearly. Even the droplets of water really aren't blurry.
I've been on a log flume style ride once before, I believe. I'm too afraid of heights for amusement parks now.
Good call on waiting for the log to come down. It really captures the action and thrill that are rides like those!
