Through the Eye of the Cougar

Recent changes in DeviantART policy forbid me from uploading MP3 files directly, so I had to enclose it in a ZIP file. Open the ZIP file and play the sound located within it.

A little while back, I was in a discussion with NodLupetianWolf about wanting to remake Red and White because I threw it together rather quickly and in retrospect, I thought I could have done a lot better. He suggested I remake it, post the new version and ask people which they prefer. So here's the remake.

If I was gonna take the time to make the whole thing from scratch, I figured I was gonna make enough changes to make it worth my while. The biggest addition to this picture is encircling the cougar picture with the shape of the cougar's right eye, which I did not so much for visual effect but auditory, because feeding a round shape through Coagula Light produces a really neat sound (as I discovered in rendering the calibration circle on Voyager Golden Record).

As promised, I also increased the FFT size of the sound's spectral print to produce a more distinct image, though I'm not so sure if it looks quite as clear as I wanted. I also decided to two-tone the preview image with red and white colors (a reference to the original "Red and White" name), though of course the spectral print of the sound itself does not contain the color difference. I also went through the trouble of erasing the background of the cougar image before feeding it through, to minimize the noise in the sound, which was a mistake of "Red and White."

So, in short, I ask you, my watchers: Which do you prefer, the image/sound of this remake, or the original Red and White, and why?
