UPDATED: Mobian Ministry

I recently came across a group on DeviantART called #MobianMinistry, a group for Christian Sonic fans. I joined instantly because the group combines two of my passions: my faith and my favorite video game characters.

I did notice, however, that the group's avatar didn't look especially "clean," i.e. it looked like it had been hastily shrunk down from a larger animation. So what I decided to do was create a new banner from scratch, while keeping the same elements as the old banner: Sonic, Tails, and a Sonic 1-style power-up box containing the ΙΧΘΥΣ symbol of Christianity. In line with the original banner, I added some animation, but not the same variety as the original because I didn't use the same sprites.

I am showing this banner to the group right after submitting it to DA. Whether the group's owner likes it enough to want to use it instead remains to be seen.

EDIT 3/19/11: The owner of #MobianMinistry has notified me that she wants to use my banner as the new official banner of the group, contingent upon a minor change in the design. So I have rearranged the elements in the banner per her request. For archival purposes, I have uploaded the original design to another location.
